How do we deal with the emotional aspects of infertility? Often we get so caught up in “doing” that we roll over how we feel. In this episode, we talk about things we wish we could go back and tell our younger selves. For most of us we wish we would have slowed down and listened to our bodies.
When we are in the midst of our infertility journey the last thing we want to do is slow down, because then we will start feeling, but by allowing ourselves to grieve and to acknowledge how we feel we are better able to cope with the stress and what is really going on in our bodies. We can experience joy and life even on this harrowing journey, but only if we allow ourselves. We have to give ourselves permission, and we have to realize that the hurt and the grief that we are feeling is normal.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL! 🦩 Welcome back to another episode of Finding Fertility
When it comes to infertility, it’s very easy to feel alone. Friends, and family often can say things that are inconsiderate without even realizing it. We know because we have heard and seen a lot of it first hand.
In this episode, we talk first hand about some things that have been said to us, and our own personal struggles with infertility. It was the combination of all our experiences, and personal stories that caused us to want to start this podcast.
So that’s why I decided to release this behind the scenes conversation we had early on when we all met and talked about what we wanted to bring to the podcast, and the why behind it. It’s rough, it’s raw, and it’s real, which is the only thing we know. I hope you enjoy this exclusive behind the scenes look.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL! 🦩 Welcome back to another episode of Finding Fertility
Today I'm talking about What You Need To Know About Ovulation
THE BIG O
As ovulation approaches, you reach the most active & fertile part of your menstrual cycle. You should notice that you actually feel like having sex. If you don't that's a BIG sign from your body that things just aren't right.
Estrogen and testosterone are at their peak, a dominant follicle with egg inside has reached maturation. This timing is important because ovulation occurring too early or too late can result in an embryo prone to chromosomal defects, even if conception occurs.
Are you ready to pee on a stick?
This is when you have a Luteinizing Hormone (LH) surge, which triggers ovulation and raises your body temperature. ⠀
If all goes well a healthy egg will soon be heading down the fallopian tube to get fertilized.
It seems simple enough, but it is far from it as there are many different physiological activities occurring.⠀
During this crucial time, the pituitary and ovaries must be communicating effectively for ovulation to occur.
If your endocrine system [which is incredibly for healthy ovulation] is out of sync, then complications with ovulation can occur.
This is why as a Functional Fertility Health Coach, I look at your WHOLE body!
When I help my clients find the right diet & lifestyle for that works for THEM we are lowering inflammation & supporting a healthy endocrine system.
This will increase their chances of healthy ovulation. 🙌

HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! Welcome back to another episode of the Infertile Diagnosis. How To Work With Your Fertility Doctor with Robyn Birkin
Your Fertility Doctor doesn't know everything. That's right. Read that again. Your Fertility Doctor doesn't know everything. While I'm a 100% sure your fertility doctor is trying their best to help you achieve your dream family, sometimes things get missed.
Robyn joins me on today's episode of The Infertile Diagnosis to share how she became her own hero and worked with her fertility doctors and made her dreams of becoming a mother a reality.
So here we go - get ready to become your own HERO!

Robyn Birkin is here to help women survive the rocky road of trying to conceive. For some people, having a baby is easy, but for others, like her, it's a long and tough rollercoaster. Her journey starts off just like most of us. She thought having a baby would take no time at all. A year later, she found herself at the fertility clinic, and several ovulation inductions, IUI's, IVF cycles, OHSS and a miscarriage later, finally conceived.
Now, She is passionate about helping you not only survive the process, but thrive! Her superpower? Helping type A women find calm, confidence and happiness in their TTC journey and feel like warriors. She is a little woo woo. A lot straight shooter. She have never turned down a bowl of mashed potato and if you love Salt n Pepa, well… you’re soul sisters.
She is the host of the Fertility Warriors podcast where she interviews other fertility warriors, and shares advice and tips on how to conceive, how to navigate the world of fertility treatments and how to be your best and healthiest self. Robyn is also the author of Screw Infertility, the core educator for The Fertility Warrior Intensive course, and the My Missing Piece Membership. You can find her at robynbirkin.com or on Instagram @robynbirkin

HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! Welcome back to another episode of the Infertile Diagnosis. We're back with another Talk Show - The Fertility Connection discussing - What if You Had Free Fertility Treatment & Health Coaching?
What if you were given 20,000 pounds, euros or dollars to do whatever you pleased with during your fertility journey?
What type of decisions would you make?
Would you do fertility treatment or looked into health coaching?
Or maybe both? I know my infertility journey would have been dramatically different if money wasn't an issue. But I can honestly say I'm not sure it would have been for the better. Because we didn't have the money, we had to take our time when it came to doing fertility treatments. This time gave me time to sort my sh*t out.
If I had £20,000, I would have rushed into doing fertility treatment again & again. For me, if I didn't sort my health issues out, I would have never gotten pregnant - not even with the support of IVF! The £20,000 would not have been used wisely.
With the hindsight I have now, I know I would have only needed a fraction of the £20,000 to reconnect my fertility. Health coaching would have saved my time, MONEY & heartache. With my hindsight, I should have hired a health coach & a personal chef & I most likely would have been pregnant within in 6 - 12 months. I wouldn't have had to dick around with years of failed fertility treatments!
But that's just me.

Part 2 | Why Aren’t We Doing Diet & Lifestyle Changes For Infertility?
The information is out there: Diet and lifestyle changes can help to improve you’re fertility health, no matter what type of infertility issue you’re dealing with. So why are we all still running off to the IVF clinics first & not taking a step back or slowing down?
There are some big issues at hand to why we might be doing this. In part two Sarah and I discuss why we too went straight to the IVF clinics and then decided to improve our fertility health after.
So here we go - get ready to become your own HERO!

Part 1 | The Ups & Downs When Working With a Fertility Health Coaching
Hiring a Fertility Health Coach might not be as straight forward as you think. I know that I had a few ups and downs during my journey with fertility coaches and so-called experts. I do believe that 98% of fertility coaches and experts truly have you’re best interest at heart, but what happens when they can’t do any more for you?
What if you’re working with someone and it just doesn’t feel right? Sarah and I talk about our ups and downs of working with different fertility health coaches and what we try to bring into our coaching from our lessons learnt.
So here we go - get ready to become your own HERO!
