In this episode, I sit down with Cara from Infertility Life Coach as she shares with us her own personal journey of infertility. We talk about how there were no reasons that the doctors were giving her for why she couldn’t get pregnant.
Cara shares how she began to take her fertility into her own hands and began to examine things going on in her own life both mentally and physically.

After she and her husband both began to make drastic changes over months of hard work, they were able to successfully conceive. That doesn’t mean it was easy, but it wasn’t until she decided to make her own decisions rather than relying on what the doctors were telling her.

In this episode, I wanted to address some questions that have been asked of me and get to the root of some common problems that we face with infertility.
"You need a healthy endocrine system to have healthy hormones."
Gut health is one of the most important places to start, and when we have infertility issues, we need to look there first. Often when we have high natural killer cells, it is a direct result of poor gut health. While it needs to be addressed, we have to realize that it's not a direct fault of our own, but we are not raised to understand gut health and most typical diets don't do much to promote a healthy gut.
"Diet is one of the top ways we are damaging our gut."
The good news is we can begin to make changes to turn our gut health around. The first step to reversing your gut health in a positive direction is being tested for food intolerances.
It is tough to get your gut health on track without first taking this step because we can't pinpoint what foods are causing inflammation in your body until a food intolerance test takes place.
Finally, in this Q&A, I wrap up with a question on exercise, and how much if any should we be doing?
I know this may seem like a no-brainer question, but in reality, some types of exercises place much stress on the adrenals, which are counter-intuitive to what we are trying to accomplish.

Our genetic health for fertility starts with our grandmothers. Our environment and things that may not seem sinister at the time can be signs that we are dealing with issues even from an early age.

I had terrible allergies as a teenager along with stomach problems, and I believe I was infertile even as a young woman. My mom had hormonal problems so I started with “less cards”... so to speak.
Finding the right diet, learning how to deal with life stressors, and developing better-coping strategies can all have a big impact on your fertility because you are supporting your gut health.
“You can improve your infertility no matter what issue you are dealing with.”
While there are some “hard no” going back points (depending on the seriousness of your issue) for the most part, you CAN improve almost any circumstance.
